Showers

It was lightly raining today.

Then I walked home and as I passed through Times Square, it started to pour.  Big heavy drops of rain as the tourists stopped in the middle of the only path to take pictures and all the street corners were flooded.  I was so glad to seek refuge under the little garage spots by the NY Times building.

Got home and went out to get take out from across the street.  During the less than five minutes in which I was in the apartment, the rain had gone from pouring to lightly drizzling.
