I wonder what year this pdf I just found is from!
It's an ad hoc committee evaluating the classes we have to do for this CLE thing, and here was one of their recommendations:
"The Committee has concluded that among the most objected-to components of the existing program is its requirement that there be homework in the form of written practice exercises. The Committee has concluded that this component has bred resentment without providing a counterbalancing benefit. The Committee concludes that the "homework" assignments should be eliminated."
Absolutely, I wholeheartedly agree!
Ah, just found it. I think the committee was formed in 2003.
Well it's 2006! (*shudder*) And the homework's still there! Does no one listen??
Not to be cynical, but is the $300/pp really that important?
Sigh. It truly has bred resentment without a counterbalancing benefit. That's really the best way it could be put. Sigh.
