Tickled Pink

I just took some tests on Emode... now Tickle, I can't get used to that. I used to take every test on that site as soon as it came out, but after college, I've fallen behind. I'm also starting to wonder if their test results all make sense anymore.

For example, my result on the "What reality show's right for you?" quiz was Survivor. Survivor?! Are you kidding me? I know for sure that I answered that, for me, roughing it was going without indoor plumbing and electricity (as opposed to going without food), and that I preferred the remote control and the wildlife channel to actual wildlife (eww, bugs!). Yet the Survivor description tells me that it's "clear" that I love the outdoors. I. Don't. Think. So. They don't have The Amazing Race as a choice though, so maybe that's why I ended up with Survivor. I don't know, the only other one that might work would be Road Rules. None of them really fit.

[Funny. I wrote this first part of the post with this title after taking that first quiz. The next quiz I saw was "What tickles you pink?"]

So what tickles me pink? According to Tickle, "sweet gestures." That one seems accurate. (The other choices were cute guys, good friends and great adventures. It's a win-win-win-win situation.) Part of the description: "Whether you're giving, receiving, or just watching from afar, nothing brightens up your day like a token of affection or seeing people treat each other with kindness." Sounds about right. :) And I love pink.

Apparently my pop culture IQ is 45 (out of what?) and I did the best in Fashion and Style. Hmm. That's bizarre. Anyway, I thought I was off to a flying start when the first question was about Mark Burnett reality shows - of course I knew that one! Hmm. I don't think that my pop culture IQ is very good. I think I got only half right. Oops. It's because it's late at night! Right...

As for what kind of girlfriend I am, I came up with steady supporter. That one's pretty accurate too - it was either that or romantic realist. Description: "Once you've committed to a relationship, you are a constant companion who enjoys the comfort and stability that comes from being a couple." Mmhmm. Comfort? Stability? Yeah, that's me. I think I'm a cross between steady supporter and romantic realist.

My fall look is office chic. That I like too. "When it comes to fashion, you're likely to favor coordinated and conservative looks." Oh yes, this is me. They recommend pencil skirts (yay!) and chiffon blouses (have none), and daring for me would be plaid pumps (oh yes, they would). A splurge would be a tweed suit (pretty). I think they got this one right too.

Maybe the reality show one is just an anomaly. Maybe it's because none of their choices were outstanding! There was no Amazing Race or Apprentice - the two shows closest to anything I'd be likely to do.

I can simplify my life by "taking things less seriously." Absolutely.

Also, I'm "hip with the success stories." What does that mean? Uh.. "Focused and hardworking, your mind never stops churning and thinking about what could be." I guess so. Although not so much when it comes to 3L... (But of all the choices, which sound like names of high school cliques, yeah, this is probably the most accurate.)

I tried to get my soap opera scenario but I refused to answer the question about how I would prefer my demise, so it wouldn't complete. Oh well. I won't answer questions like that on these quizzes. No way. Because there is no good answer to what a "better" catastrophic death would be... *shudder*

Last one. My vibe is "Tickled Pink." Wow, talk about complying with my post title and theme! I swear, I didn't choose the title to this post after taking this quiz. I chose the title to this post way back after the reality show quiz! This is very amusing. I think for the most part, tonight Tickle has been getting my results right. Just not with Survivor!

Enough quizzes. Time for bed.
